The Magician

Who I am

 

My name is Tess Bauman and I am a senior at the University of Central Missouri. I am a marketing major and will be graduating in December with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. I often describe myself using the Magician archetype. The Magician is someone who is intuitive, insightful, and inspiring. Because I enjoy coming up with win/win solutions, creating change, and empowering people, I believe this archetype fits me well (hence the name of my blog). I am also someone who enjoys being involved. I am currently a member of three student organizations, one of which I hold an executive position in. However, I have held a variety of Director and Chairman positions in the past within these groups. I am someone who enjoys learning and developing, which is reflected in my GPA and my placement on the Dean's List. Overall, I am a reliable, intelligent, successful, and hard-working individual. 

 

Where I Want Go

 

With graduation approaching so quickly, my goal is to find a place of employment by the beginning of December. My ideal job would be in the Saint Louis, Missouri area working for a marketing agency. I would love to work in the area of analytics, or assisting clients. I want a job that will allow me to learn, grow, and challenge myself, yet will still allow me to have fun, and get to spend time with my family and friends. I am very dedicated to everything I do, and I care deeply about my obligations, as well as my loved ones. It is very important to me that wherever I end up, I can have a well-rounded work-life balance. I want to be able to take time for myself and be there for those who need me. However, I do like having new experiences and pushing my own limits, so I do not want a job that is too repetitive. 

 

What I can do for you

 

Although my focus is in marketing, I strongly believe I have learned a variety of skills that will be helpful no matter where I end up. I have been fortunate enough to have experiences in many different areas of business, and have taken classes in an array of content areas. I am a quick learner who can easily understand complex concepts. If there is something I do not understand, I am not afraid to ask questions. I am dedicated to consistent improvement of myself, my team, and my organization. I work well with other people, and know how to be a leader when necessary. As an employee, I do what it takes to get the job done, but in the most respectful and professional manner possible.
